Nutmeg Award Timeline

By January 31

Readers vote in their school or public library for their favorite book to determine the NCBA winner.

January - March

Nominated titles for the next Nutmeg Award are presented and publicity materials are made available.

February

The winning title for the Award is announced.

May

Publicity packets for orders submitted before April 1 are distributed. After this date orders will be accepted and filled while supplies last.

June - September

Public libraries sponsor summer reading programs featuring Nutmeg nominees. Schools add Nutmeg books to the summer reading lists.

September - December

Students continue to read the Nutmeg nominees in schools and public libraries across the state.

January

4^th - 6^th grade readers vote for their favorite book to determine the year's NCBA winner! Send your tally sheet to the NCBA Chair by January 31.
